Jogging is one of the most effective fat burning activities and some people can become quite addicted to it. However, it is often uncomfortable for overweight people and can cause knee and ankle injuries. Many people are better off starting with walking to lose weight and build up muscles before turning to jogging. Make sure get some good shoes to cushion joints against the impact of running on hard surfaces.

Joining an aerobics class can be good fun and effective for burning fat. These classes are sociable, use lots of energy and promote muscle tone as well as fat loss. Make sure to begin class with suitable level. Best fat loss comes initially from long duration, low to medium intensity exercise.
